For three years Mr. Hayes served as Vice President of Gas Origination for El Paso Merchant Energy. He also served as a Financial Analyst of Los Angeles-based Freeman Spogli. He has financing, business development and corporate governance experience. Mr. Hayes joined Sorrent in 2004. Mr. Hayes Leads development initiatives for Sorrent Inc. including market entry strategies, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hayes joined Sorrent from Sienna Ventures where he was integral in the deal that secured Sorrent's venture financing and actively managed it's investment in Sorrent. Mr. Hayes has been focused on private equity and venture capital within the wireless communications industry since 1999 and held posts at Beneventure Capital and SigmaBleyzer where he identified and managed investments for Ukraine's cable, wireless communications, information technology, commercial airline and food industries. Also while at Sienna Ventures, Mr. Hayes served as a Director and Observer of the boards of directors of Asset International, M7 Networks, Newport Opticom and Sorrent. He has been an active faculty member of the Northeast Gas Association's Gas Operations School since 1997.
