‘I don’t talk about the other teams. I only talk about Milan. We want to be the top side in Europe and we believe that we can reach this objective. It isn’t the case that in the past we played seven finals and two semi-finals. However, every newspaper has their own editorial line and that’s up to them. Milan have theirs as well. I repeat: I do not want to speak about the other clubs.’

Over the last fifteen years I have always given my all, unfortunately one’s performance isn’t always at the top. Recently I was lacking in some specific areas, but the coach knew how to manage my situation very well. Nevertheless, criticisms are never bad because I take them as constructive and useful in demonstrating my worth. They are all saying that I am back, but in reality I never left.’
